The Disabled Transportation Society has a long history of serving our community and their mission to provide mobility with dignity is a life line for many of our residents.

Without the Drivers, Staff and Volunteer Board Members of the DTS trips to the doctor, school, work or visits with family - the things many of us take for granted, would be out of the question. Without DTS many people simply would not be able to make Grande Prairie their home.

The City of Grande Prairie is a proud supporter of the Disabled Transportation Society and the work they do.

- Mayor Bill Given

My name is Dallas Tofteland, I am 32 years old, and I am a permanent quadriplegic and hence am bound to a wheelchair for life.

I have lived and worked in Grande Prairie since Feb 2003 and have relied on DTS to get me to and from work every day as well as on the occasional social trip, due to my disability I am unable to drive myself so without a service like the DTS I honestly don’t know what I would do. I can’t say enough good things about the DTS – I find the service very reliable and the people very friendly and willing to go the extra mile. For myself and many others I have met over the years the DTS is a very important tool to allow us access to society and to do things like work and get out and about rather than be basically stuck at home indefinitely.

Thank You DTS!.
